Just Add Some Adderall And Careless Whisper Saxophone

Hello again everybody! Coming live from the state where possums and squirrels fight over gutter trash, it's Elder  McMullin ! As always, feel free to send me any hyperlinks to dog pictures or a brick in the mail, and I will maybe get to them. But, without further ado, here we go! Business is BOOMIN out here this week! We manged to find not one, not three, not 9 3/4 people this week, but 11! And, 6 of em came to church! Exciting as that is though, our baptism has been kicked back AGAIN because of a little something called General Conference. Plus, Dewayne got in a car accident on Saturday, so we have to wait a bit for that as well. But! Progress is still progressing, Elder Mills found 3 people at the same time, and we should be able to get a few more on date this week. In other news, biking has become a full-time gig. What really sucked was Tuesday, when the other elders were on an exchange, so all we had was our mildly broken bikes to carry us forth across our area that's rough...

Bob The Builder Is Stinking Jealous Of Me

Hola again everybody! After the drought of hearing from your favorite Elder  McMullin , you get A SPECIAL SECOND EMAIL within one week! Sit back, relax, grab a special caffinated beverage, and here we go! As far as the work goes, this week has been positively mediocre. We were supposed to have a baptism, but the Bishop was not super excited about it and wanted another week of "buffer zone" to get to know him better. Good thing too, because we got a call on Saturday night saying that he wanted to go to a different church the day after his scheduled baptism. We promptly kicked it back ANOTHER week, and had a call to clear up the whole "one true church" thing. I'll keep yall posted, but the 5th is going strong!  In other news, the apartment is super fun right now. All of us are under a year, so it's a bit chaotic with a definite lack of authority, but hey- it just makes it more fun! The not fun bit- Elder Mears finally got his TIWI back, so the McMommy is no lo...

The Birth And Almost Death Of The McMommy Mobile

Hello again everyone! Coming live from the nonsensical roadway convergence I call home, it's Elder  McMullin ! As always, feel free to send me any Netflix recommendations or death threats, and I will get to them when I get to them. So, without further ado, here's my week (plus some change!) Big news is transfers! I get to stay in good ol Norfolk, but I am now comps with a guy named Elder Mills, and he is a super stud. Fresh from the ghettos of Richmond, VA, we're trying to tear up this area and create some epic change, or die trying. Right now it's a little heavy on the die, as my standing Walmart ban, several kicks from Target, and stinkeyes from Food Lion are all combining to hedge up my way.  Despite that though, we should have a baptism next Saturday- and it's SOMEONE I FOUND! Dewayne has been super steady and wants to be baptized, which is mucho exciting for all of us here at Newtown. In addition (and the reason this email is late), we got to go to the Richmond...

I Stole A Dead Man's Pasta Shells

Hello again everyone! Coming live from the city with the worst shoplifting spree in the country, it's Elder  McMullin ! As per the usual, if you have any good memes or plagiarized song lyrics, please send them my way and I will happily read them. So, without further ado, here we go! This week has been a little more rough on the work side. We've had some really good lessons, but some of our friends we're working with have stalled out a bit. We need Dewayne to come to church one more time, Andre to come at all, and Marvin might never be able to make it because our ward sucks with rides. But, we're still chipping away and praying that a golden investigator will appear... eventually. In the meantime, we'll keep trawling every parking lot east of Elizabeth River like a strange urban version of Peter. In other news- TRANSFERS! I have finally finished training (first two transfers) which meant I could do something actually exciting this next transfer. And exciting it is! I...

I Did Not Know Drunkards Were So MOBILE!

Well hello again everybody! Coming live from where country music and bad rap can be heard in the same store, it's Elder  McMullin ! As always, if there is anything funny you have to share or a depressing tale about world hunger, feel free to send them to me and I will happily read them. Now, without further ado, here's my week! I gotta spoil it- we finally had a baptism! It was for a 9-year-old girl named Noemi, who lived in a part-member household. She has been super attentive to our lessons, and seeing her baptized was super cool. My comp did the confirmation, which was sweet, and it was just a great experience all around. It's actually shocking how well it came out, seeing as we forgot the font keys and didn't plan for a jumpsuit. But, let it be written and let it be known that the Lord provides for his people in their time of need, specifically having a random tote full of suits in the corner of the church. We also had some fun last P-day by finally getting on the U...
