Not Even 3,000 Calories Can Break My Pride

Hello again everyone! Coming live from the shores of the first Ironside stalemate, it's Elder McMullin! As always, if any of yall would like to send me any target gift cards or grated cheese, feel free to do so and i will happily accept. But without further ado, here we go!

Work this week was mid as crap. We found 6 people and had 4 lessons with members, but it still felt a little low for what we were doing. But, this week we have decided to go full grind and see just how much damage we can do.
Despite some on-par other KIs, we got a BAPTISM! Dewayne, the center of much excitement over the past couple weeks, finally followed the example of Christ and became a member! The previous Friday, however, sucked. Our apartment has a printer we thought was OK, but it could only take one piece of paper at a time, and print one side at a time. So, poor Elder Mills is loading paper like a Victorian working child while I Ctrl-P, thirty times over to get a mere 15 programs. Then, we get news that we might have to reschedule, at about 2:00 PM. We get all that figured out so we can still baptize, but on Saturday morning we realize we don't have keys to the building. After begging some other elders and driving across the area, we got it all figured out. I did the baptism, Elder Mills did the confirmation, and the spirit was just so gosh darn strong.
To explain the title line, Elder Mills and I were stuck in downtown and feeling a little munchy. There's this pizza place called "Bennys" I've always wanted to try, and we decide to swing in. Turns out the pizza slices are about 14 inches long, and we both ordered 2. We each get through one without a hitch, but halfway through the second Elder Mills taps out. I was about to as well, when he whispers "I bet you can't finish that." Now I've picked up a small reputation (mostly through wanda) for being able to stomach anything, and I was not willing to lose that title right then. I loosen my belt, tighten my fists, and keep chomping. I sweat. I cry. I almost threw up once. But, there was nothing left but crumbs of cornstarch and a victorious Elder McMullin. Later we ran the numbers, and I ate 154 square inches of pizza. Estimating a low value of 20 calories per square inch, I ate 3,000+ calories in a single sitting.
But! My record remains and my indomitable pride is unshaken, even by the small casserole's worth of calories I consumed.

Anyways, I hope yall have a blessed week, and that yall have a good fall!

Elder McMullin
